She was the widow of Michael Rhett Macomson and the daughter of the late Mary Crews and James Y. Wallace. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters. Mrs. Macomson was a homemaker. In the past she was very active in her childrens school functions. She was also a very active member of Aldergate United Methodist Church. She was a charter member at the church. Survivors include 3 sons, Michael R. Macomson Jr., Shelby, NC, Dr James B. Macomson, Gastonia, NC, Dr. Robert E. Macomson, Charlotte, NC; 1 daughter, Rebecca M. White, Shelby, NC; 1 brother, James Wallace, Lake Lure, NC; 6 sisters, Sarah Kendrick, Barbara Tabbot, Carolyn Kreuzer, Marjorie Poteat all of Spartanburg, SC, Elizabeth Ritchie, Greenville, SC, Martha Nelson, Clinton, SC; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer M.
