  Unknown newspaper Frank Burke, 86, retired farmer and almost a lifelong resident of this community, died Sunday at the Gentry County Memorial hospital in Albany, where he had been a patient several weeks. Charles Franklin Burke was born Dec. 23, 1881 in DeKalb county near Winslow, son of William F. and Louella Berrett (sic) Burke, and his death was the first among their family of eight children. As a young Mr. Burke went to Western Colorado and homesteaded for several years, after which he returned to King city and farmed until his retirement. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christion church. He is survived by three sons, Lloyd Burke of St. Joseph, and Chester and Lee Burke, who live in Colorado; two brothers, William P. Burke and Oscar L. Burke of King City; five sisters, Mrs. Ida McRea, Mrs. Anna Tunks and Mrs. Austa Pence, all of King City, Mrs. Edna Pierce of Union Star, and Mrs. Mildred Campbell of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
