  St. Joseph News-Press (MO) September 13, 2015 KING CITY, Mo. O.E. Gene Tunks, 98, King City, passed away September 11, 2015, at Laverna Village, Savannah, Mo. Gene was born July 16, 1917, in King City, the son of Louis and Anna (Burke) Tunks. On March 1, 1946, he married Lucile Tunks in Troy, Kan. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2010. He was also preceded by his parents; a son, Bob Tunks; three brothers; and three sisters. Gene served in the Air Force during t. He was a barber by trade. He was also a member of the Hammer Memorial United Methodist Church, King City. Survivors include two sons, David and Dennis Tunks, both of Lees Summit, Mo.; brother, Asa Tunks, Savannah; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
