  St. Joseph News-Press (MO) February 12, 2003 KING CITY, Mo. -- Aletha Ferne Faris, 83, formerly King City, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Faris was born and raised in Missouri and moved to Phoenix in 1957 with her husband and children. She and her husband, C.R. "Bud" Faris, enjoyed successful careers in real estate. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a talented artist, and a beautiful and elegant person. Mrs. Faris was preceded in death by her husband, "Bud," of 49 years; her parents, George F. and Edna D. (Burke) Pierce. Survivors: a daughter, Gara Kelso, Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, Michael Faris, and his wife, Karan, Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Kara Dyson and Kori Faris; a great-grandchild, Jakob Dyson; and two sisters, Norma Peacock, Maysville, Mo.; and Orene Hutton, King City.
