BURKE, WALLACE L. Wallace Burke, 80, died peacefully on November 8 after a full and joyous life. He had fought a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease for many years.
Wallace was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force and a pilot during WWII and the Korean War. After a boyhood in Missouri, he resided in California, Japan, New Zealand, and Colorado. He was an avid world traveler and skier and was a member of VIVA!, a lifelong learning institute sponsored by the University of Denver.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen; his sons, Michael, Troy and Randall of California; his stepdaughters, Stacy Palmer of Washington, D.C. and Claudia Palmer of London, England; and 7 grandchildren. Donations may be made to the Parkinson's Assoc. of the Rockies.
