  St. Joseph News Press December 16, 2008 FAIRPORT, Mo. - Gertrude M. Pence, 82, Fairport, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008. Mrs. Pence was born May 22, 1926, in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Tony and Gertrude (Long) Devine. Gertrude was a homemaker and teacher. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include two sons, Larry Pence, Maysville, Mo.; and Roland Pence, King City, Mo.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Carl Pence.
