Wednesday, January 04 PITTSFIELD — Margaret Elizabeth Marshall, 79, of 49 Putnam Ave. and a longtime summer resident of Pontoosuc Lake, died Sunday evening at her home. Born in Pittsfield, Dec. 11, 1926, daughter of Thomas J. and Aura LeBar Kelly, she was a 1945 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Marshall was employed as a telephone operator and repair service clerk with New England Telephone Company for 27 years. She retired in 1985.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Monday Morning Crafts Club and a member of the Knit Wit Club. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and decorating her home.
Her husband, Graham J. Marshall, whom she married July 11, 1953, in St. Mark's Church, died May 27, 2003.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by two sons, Joseph T. Marshall of Pittsfield and Thomas J. Marshall of Greenland, N.H.; a daughter, Mary A. Marshall of Andover; a sister, Evelyn
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Thomas L. Kelly and Edward E. Kelly, and by two sisters, Elizabeth M. Kelly and Helen A. Swords. She leaves her three granddaughters, Jennifer Marshall, Kimberly Marshall, and Kelley Marshall.
