Alvah L. Terry, III, 72, of Stuart, died Wednesday, September 11th at his residence. Born in Louisville, KY, he was a resident of Stuart since 1981, moving from Palma De Mallorca, Spain.
He was a graduate of Kentucky Military Institute; and attended the University of Kentucky and the University of Miami. He served in the US Army during Peace Time. Prior to retirement, he was an Underwriter for Lloyds of London for 15 years. He was also owner/operator of Hermitage Restaurant and 'Ole Bar in Palma De Mallorca, Spain.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joan Terry of Stuart, FL; two daughters, Louisa T. Stickel and husband Didier of Key Biscayne, FL, Elizabeth B. Terry-Candela and husband Ivan of Spain; four grandchildren, Alexa and Matt Stickel, Alvah and Pedro Candela; mother-in-law, Constance Elwell of Stuart, FL; brother-in-law, Robert Elliot of the West Indies; and three nieces.
