Blaie, Wis. - Almon E. Briggs, 66, died Sunday morning at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, where he had been a patient four weeks.
He was born Jan. 1, 1900, in the town of Hale to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Briggs. He married Luella Elland June 2, 1928, at First Lutheran parsonage, the Rev. S. S. Urberg officiating. He hauled milk and cream and operated a restuarant here, from 1955 to 1964.
His wife died August 16, 1964.
Survivors are: five sons, Duane and Robert, Eau Claire; Wesley, Whitehall; Billy, Chicago, and Thomas Blair; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Lulu Hilleque, Westby, and Mrs. Iver (Emma) Berg and Mrs. Arthur (Essie) Knutson, Blair; four brothers, Herman, Willis, Wilbur and Clarence, Whitehall, and several nieces and nephews.
