  Post Journal March 6, 2012 Kenneth L. Harcey, 68, of Lake City, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012, at his home, after a short battle with lung cancer. Ken was born Dec. 4, 1943, to Ralph and Ruby (Small) Harcey in Whitewater Township. He grew up in the St. Charles area and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966, with his tour of duty including tours overseas in Pakistan and Turkey. Throughout his lifetime, he worked in a variety of careers including auto body repairs, law enforcement officer, insurance agent, U.S. Postal Service rural mail carrier in Lake City for 13 years retiring in 1999, and 28 years in the newspaper distribution business with his wife, Sharon, retiring in 2009. He was married to Sharon (Passe) Gnotke-Harcey for 31 years.
