  North County Times (Escondido, CA) March 23, 2001 SAN MARCOS - Clive Eugene Alley, 83, died Monday, March 19, 2001, at Life Care Center in Escondido. Born April 13, 1917, in Minneapolis, he lived in San Marcos for 10 years. He was a laborer for ALCOA for 28 years. He served in the National Guard. Mr. Alley was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Alley, in 1995 and granddaughter, Anita Jo Thomas, in 1984. He is survived by son C.E. "Bob" Alley of Stoughton, Wis.; daughter Barbara Vallenthine of Oceanside; brother Jim Alley of Folsom; grandchildren Robert Farguhar, William Farguhar, Michael Johnson, Andrea Pederson and Christina Vanderlinden; and seven great-grandchildren.
