Cloy Jean Ward, 67 of Cypress, TX passed away at home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
Jean grew up in Vidor, TX and graduated high school in 1969. After raising 4 children she decided she wanted to become an RN and graduated from Lamar University-Beaumont in 1990. She worked for many years at St. Elizabeth/Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont, TX before moving to Houston, TX where she met her husband Lavelle. She loved traveling and camping in their motorhome with family and friends but especially loved fishing at the lake. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her family and many friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother Louisa Jones, father Dean Oldbury and son Robert Allen Stanley.
She is survived by her husband Lavelle Ward of Cypress, TX, daughters Laura Dodd, Linda Copeland, and Lisa Stanley all of Vidor, TX, sons Billy Stanley of Vidor, TX and Scott Ward of Jersey Village, TX, brothers Doug Oldbury, Mark Oldbury, and sister LaDean Taylor all of Vidor, TX, grandsons Sean Moncrief of Vidor, TX, Bradley Oxley of Fort Polk, LA, and Cooper Ward of Jersey Village, TX, granddaughters Layla and Heidi Ward of Jersey Village, TX as well as 3 great grandchildren.
