• Notes

  Fred Behmer was a professional photographer from age 16 until well into h is 70's. Started with Baker Studio, Columbus, Ohio. Worked for the Columbus Star. Was first photographer to take pictures at away Ohio State football games and have published in the next morning paper. Dried photo plates on pot belly stove on train returning from game. Worked as commercial photographer at Jeffery Manufacturing for over 50 years. Fred Behmer II also worked with his father as a photographer at Jeffery until his retirement.
