  The Deseret News April 3, 2000 Joy Ada Ann Hancock joins her beloved husband of 55 years. She was born January 12, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Jane Elizabeth and Charles William Thomas. She married John L. Hancock on Feb. 9, 1945. They were sealedfor all time and eternity in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Joy is survived by her three children, Linda and Terry Wilson of Roswell, Georgia; John and Kris Hancock of Sandy, Utah; Sally and Ron Butterfield of Kearns, Utah; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Donna Martinson, Lois Anderson, and Shirley Hancock; as well as many nieces and nephews.
