  The Herald Journal (Logan, UT) May 2, 2000 HYRUM, Utah - George Lennis Nielsen, 71, of Hyrum, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2000, at his farm in Hyrum. He was born June 13, 1928, in Hyrum, a son of Edrin Morris and LaVeda Allen Nielsen. He married Geniel Lindquist on July 1, 1955, in Bountiful, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed away Sept. 4, 1988. He lived his entire life in Hyrum, where he owned and operated his own farm and construction company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sitting around an open campfire with his family. He died while doing something he enjoyed - farming. He is survived by his five children, Bryan (Jan) Nielsen of Loveland, Colo., Judy Freund of Hyrum, John (Teresa) Nielsen of Lewiston, Kimberly (Dawane) Webber of Nibley, and David (Trina) Nielsen of Hyrum. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Gerad Nielsen of Salt Lake City, Darrell (Barbara) Nielsen of Bountiful, and Jack (Sybil) Nielsen of Bountiful; and three sisters, Margie (Ramon) Purser of Hyde Park, Joan (Clark) Muir of Bountiful, and Mary Jean (Don) Muir of Hyrum. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sisters, Claris and Carol; and brother, Edward.
