Obituarie
Leslie Andrus N. Leslie Andrus, 88, former persident of Intermountain Mutu
al Insurance Co., Idaho Falls, died Feb 9 1985, at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo of Causes incident to age. He was born Aug 13, 1896 at Willow Creek (now Milo) {at one time in Ucon Ward} Idaho, son of Newton and Juletta Berrett Andrus, His early years were spent in southeast Idaho, where his father was an employee of the US Postal Service. Andrus attended Ricks Academy at Rexburg.
He married Zina albnerta Allen December 10 1919, in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a prominent insurence man, and the altter part of his life was occupied as a farmer and stockman. He was active in the LDS Church and served as Bishop of the Lyman Ward, Rexburg Stake, and was also a member of the Rexburg LDS Stake High Council and served as an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He lived in Lewisville for many years before moving to the Rexburg area.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. C. Victor (Beth) Anderson St. George, Utah, Mrs. C. Burdell (Nyal) Merrell and Elaine Watts, both of Orem, Utah; and a son, Hyurum L Andrus of Alpine, Utah; three brothers, A. {Alma} Golden Andrus of Ashton, A La Mar Andrus of Provo and Ivan Q. Andrus of Tacoma, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Mazle (Rose) King of American Fork, Utah, Mrs, Herman (Verda) Wakeman of Soda Springs and Mrs. Chris (Lois Madsen of Murray, Utah; 25 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son {Merrill Allen Andrus} a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Lyman First Ward LDS Church near Rexburg. Viewing will be in the Relif Society room from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home. {Burial at Archer, Idaho}
