NORTH OGDEN - Mark Merrill Roylance, age 83, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2002 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1918 in North Ogden the son of Heber Thomas and Rebecca Asper Roylance.
Mark married Myrle Williams on October 5, 1935 in North Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 28, 1955. Mark worked on his father"s farm and later purchased an additional farm in Weston, Idaho. Mark and his wife were owners of Roylance Dairy Farms.
Mark played the saxophone and clarinet at local events and dances for 39 years, did customfarming for other farmers and hauled milk from area dairy farmers to Cream of Weber. He was an active member of the LDS church and served as Elders Quorum President, was in the High Priest Presidency, the Young Mens Presidency and along with Myrle was a dance director for young people.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Arlene Clawson, North Ogden; three sons, Robert M. (Marilyn) Roylance, Collingston; William H. (Connie) Roylance, Scott P. (Marilyn) Roylance, both of North Ogden; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Grace (Vern) Hancock, North Ogden.
Preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Selma Higgins, and one grandson, Randy.
Interment, North Ogden Cemetery.
