  Ventura County Star May 18, 2003 Inez Joyce Blekre Torkelson 80 of Ventura died Wednesday May 14 2003 at the Glenwood Care Center in Oxnard. Mrs. Torkelson was born Oct. 27 1922 in Minneapolis Minn. and was a 29-year county resident coming from Minnesota. She worked at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard in the central supply department from 1976 to 1984. Inez then became a social worker for the Welfare Department of Ventura County retiring in 1996. She thoroughly enjoyed working with ceramics and pottery and will always be known as a voracious reader. She leaves to cherish her memory four sons; three daughters; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
