Helen Lavoy Christoffersen "Saint Helen" ?"Death-the last sleep? No the final awakening". Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Helen Christoffersen passed away Dec. 12, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born in Hyrum Utah, Jan. 24, 1931 to Leo and Melba Yeates. She married Victor B. Christoffersen, June 23, 1950 in the Logan Temple.
She is survived by her brothers, Troy and Merlin Yeates, and Fred Smith; sisters, Barbara Williams and Ruth Godfrey. Her children, Brien (Trish), Lisa Gaye, Peggy, Jill, Joe (Carlee), Christoffersen, Vickie (Scott) Hymas. Helen is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildre
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Victor B. Christoffersen; brothers Keith and Floyd Yeates.
Helen was lovingly nicknamed Saint Helen by her children and grandchildren, because of her courage, strength and compassion for everyone. Helen lived life with zest, and touched the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy, values and strength will live on through all of us she left behind. We will miss her dearly.
Interment will be at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine St. (730 East).
