LAYTON, Utah - Grant N. Dunkley, age 78, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at the LDS Hospital of complications following surgery. He was born May 24, 1922, in Preston, Idaho, the son of Benjamin G. and Susie Neeley Dunkley.
Grant married Merle Jean Allen on Dec. 31, 1969, in Evanston, Wyo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on Sept. 21, 1991. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Army during the Korean War. Grant is a member of the LDS Church. He served as a stake missionary and secretary of High Priest group.
Surviving are his wife, Merle, Layton; one son, Lance A. (Heidi) Dunkley, Hempstead, Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Stacy (Casey) Ripple, Helena, Mont., Lynda Henderson, Modesto, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton.
