ST. GEORGE, UT - Richard Mel Glauser, 51, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family February 3, 2006 in St. George, Utah, after living 2 1/2 years with brain cancer.
He was born July 16, 1954 in Ogden, Utah to Melvin Don and Kathleen Allen Glauser.
He married Nanette Holt in Salt Lake City, Utah March 7, 1978.
Rick grew up in Clearfield, Utah where he graduated from Clearfield High School and lived throughout most of his life. In 1992 he moved with his family to St. George, Utah. Throughout his life, he cared and provided for his family by working in the water softener business and in the construction business, building homes and working in sales of doors and windows. He truly enjoyed the game of golf and loved playing it with his boys. Rick was fun loving, spunky and made a lasting impression on anyone who knew him. He wrote songs and played the guitar. He enjoyed great conversations, being with his family and playing with his kids. He had a passion for life and was passionate in his search for truth.
He is survived by his wife, Nanette; eight children, Amy (Scott) McKinnon of Salt Lake City, UT, Brad (Kendall), Rebecca, Scott, Cami, Michael, Jeffrey and Sara Glauser; three grandchildren, Hana, Conrad, Landon; brothers and sisters, Steven (Tami) Glauser, Kris (Gordon) Lofts, Susie (Harv) Larsen and Craig (Nancy) Glauser.
