Betty June Adkins, 79, formerly of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, in Scio.
Private burial took place at Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
She was born April 5, 1924, in Eagle River, Wisc., the daughter of Frank and Loretta (Fiedler) Swett. She attended school in Eagle River. On Sept. 1, 1942, she married Glenn Adkins in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. The couple lived in Eagle River until moving to Lebanon in 1945. She was a homemaker and also worked 15 years at Durlam's Bakery in Lebanon. The couple moved to Scio in 1980. She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Tangent and American Legion Auxiliary Santiam Unit No. 51.
Mrs. Adkins is survived by sons Thomas Adkins of Lebanon and Larry Adkins of Scio; daughter Carolyn Adkins of Lebanon; sister Ethel Freund of Eagle River, Wisc.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Her brother, Jay Swett, died before her.
