Leslee Allen Andrus, 65, of Rexburg, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. He was born Sept. 16, 1949, in Rexburg, to Merrill Allen Andrus and Harriet Pauline Jones Andrus.
He graduated from Shelley High School and attended two years at Idaho State University in auto body repair. In the fall of 1978, he met Cindy Farnsworth and they were married Aug. 17, 1979, in the Idaho Falls LDS temple.
Leslee worked at Stoddard Mead Ford, C & L and Christensen auto body shops before starting and operating his own auto body shop, Blackhawk Auto Body, for the past twenty-two years. He had an affinity for classic cars and was always working on one. He was very meticulous and fair with the work he did for others. He built his business and reputation by his perfected work and knowledge that he showed people. Not only did he repair cars for his business, this was his life hobby and enjoyment. He enjoyed attending the various car shows and seeing the work of others.
Other hobbies he enjoyed, when time permitted, were camping, especially at Redfish Lake or Bear Lake, fishing and hunting for his next project car. He had a caring heart for cats, his own, others or the many strays that found their way to his home. He had a strong love and was a great example to his family and his sudden passing will leave them wanting to continue his legacy of working, helping and loving selflessly.
He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings of which he strived to always do his best.
Leslee is survived by his wife, Cindy; their children, Nathan (Kara), Merrill, Blake (Tina), Jennifer and Tyler; seven grandchildren with another one on the way; and two sisters, Paula (Evard) Gibby and Denice (Les) Udy.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and infant son, James.
