  Oneonta Star January 15, 1971 Vallejo, Calif. - Lt. David N. Morris, 31, a former resident of Maryland, died Tuesday, January 12, at the U. S. Naval Hospital, Oakland, Calif., of cancer following a brief illness. The body will be returned to Otsego county on Saturday, January 16, under military escort, and funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 23, at the Lewis Funeral Home, Oneonta. Burial will be in Milford Center cemetery. Lt. Morris was born Dec. 25, 1939, a son of Gordon and Octavia (Newton) Morris. He was graduated from Andrew F. Draper Central School Schenevius, and was later graduated from Cornell university. He married Ellen Jenkins on June 12, 1964, in Connecticut.
