  St. Joseph News-Press (MO) April 11, 2009 HIGHLAND, Kan. — Marjorie L. (Walton) Butrick, 89, of Highland, died April 9, 2009, at Highland. She married William Butrick, Feb. 23, 1941, at Highland. They were married for over 49 years, where they lived most of their life on a farm northeast of Highland, before retiring and moving to town. He died July 1, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister Margaret Lewis; three step-sisters Helen Bennett, Dixie Bashor and Elsie Derossett. She is survived by a half-sister, Dorothy Hutcherson of Sprague, Neb. Additional survivors include three children: Wilma (Don) White of Lawrence, Kan,; Dean (Kathy) Butrick of St. Joseph; and William B. Jr. (Melody) Butrick of Highland; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
