  The Nashua Reporter January 31, 1973 Walter Wood, 74, a life-long resident of the Bassett area, died Monday, January 22, at the home of his son, Loren Wood in Rockford, Il., where he had been residing for the last two months. Walter Wood was born March 31, 1898, near Bassett, the son of George and Anna Warner Wood. He was married to Venus Marvin, who survives. Also surving are a son, Loren of Rockford; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Hill of Chicago and Mrs. Marlys Theos of Des Plaines, Il. There are ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. also surving is one half brother, Dale Frazee of Bassett.
