  The Bellingham Herald (WA) June 30, 2002 Nolan B. Servoss, of Mount Vernon, died June 26, 2002 in Mount Vernon. The son of Aurelia and Roy Servoss, Nolan was born May 24, 1920 in Provo, Utah. Nolan was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School, Skagit Valley College and Washington State University. After retiring from WSU in 1980 he managed the NW Red Raspberry Grower's Assoc. for 7 years. He is survived by four children, Pamela Larson and her husband Lee of Mount Vernon a son, Steven N. Servoss of Bellingham a son, Robert N. Servoss and his wife, Shawn of Mount Vernon a daughter, Ronda J. Higginbotham of Arlington, Texas seven grandchildren three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Nolan was a gentle soul and giver to all he encountered. He will be greatly missed by his family and by all those he touched.
