PATTISON, Robert "Tony" Arthur of Winston, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at a local hospital in Roseburg, Oregon. Tony was born in Port Orchard, Washington, on May 3, 1929, to George Dewey Pattison and Flavia Pattison.
Tony grew up in Port Orchard, attending school at South Kitsap Union High School. Tony enjoyed his career as a truck driver and received an award for 3 million accident free miles with Consolidated Freightways prior to his retirement in 1991. Tony had a delightful sense of humor that was well known by all who came in contact with him. He was well known around the area where he lived and will be missed greatly by all. He enjoyed many wonderful neighbors and was very happy in his neighborhood.
Tony married the love of his life, Donna, on June 10, 1980. They enjoyed 19 blessed years together prior to her passing on August 8, 1999. Tony always shared the stories of their life together. Tony and Donna enjoyed traveling in their pickup and travel trailer. They frequently visited Arizona during the winter and traveled the west visiting family and enjoying the life that retirement afforded. They enjoyed visiting with their children and grandchildren during their travels as well as meeting new friends.
Mr. Pattison was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna. He is survived by his children, Lynn and Lea Pattison of Chehalis, Washington; Ken and Peggi Pattison of Kennewick, Washington; Connie Pentacost of Richland, Washington; Rocky and Chris Mikesell of Pendleton, Oregon; and Gene and Robin Walker of Roseburg. He also enjoyed the friendship of Elmer and Marion Fullen of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, for more than 50 years. Tony had 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Oakland.
