  The Arizona Republic March 28, 2017 Evelyn R. Haskell, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, returned to her true home in heaven and to many of those who loved her on March 23 at the age of 95. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to George and Lena Rankin and grew up there with them and her two brothers. She was proud to be the first in her family to graduate from college and left Culver-Stockton College with a degree in business. On June 21, 1947 Evelyn married Walter Haskell and the couple eventually moved to Tucson, Arizona where their daughters Kathy and Joan were born. In 1961 the family moved to Phoenix where Evelyn worked for General Electric and Honeywell until her retirement. Evelyn was a devout Christian and member of the Disciples of Christ congregation at Phoenix Central Christian Church and then Foothills Christian Church. Evelyn will be remembered for her kindness, intelligence, and devotion to her family. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Riney (Carl) and granddaughter Shelby Riney who will miss her very much and are eternally grateful to have had her in their lives
