He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Liberty Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Sidebottom of the home; three sons, Duane Sidebottom, Umatilla, Ore., Dan Sidebottom, Eldon, Mo., and Harvey L. Sidebottom Jr. of the home; three daughters, Gail L. Todd, Clinton, Mo., Deborah J. Swearingen, Edwardsville, and Brenda L. Savoie, Turners Falls, Mass.; five sisters, Lucille Brents, Barnett, Mo., Juanita Tunis, Versailles, Irene Rees, Buckner, Lillian Smothers, Independence, and Mildred Barlow, California, Mo. ; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
