Jesse LeRoy Wright, son of All Lee and Lauretta Skinner Wright, was born Sept. 26, 1900 at Cawker City, Ks. He died on Tues.. Sept. 23, 1906. while sitting in. his pickup in front of Beloit IGA at Beloit. Ks., at the age of 85 years. 11 months and 27 days.
'Jack", as he was affectIonately known. spent his entire life in the Cawker City community.
On June24, 1924, he was married to Eliza Ann Figgins at Otego, Ks. To this union were born two sons, Charles L. Wright and Darrell L. Wright. They made their home in Cawker City. Jack spent many years as a mechanic for Chides Bock and E.C. Riley. He enjoyed repairing motor vehicles until his retirement In 1962. Jack also enjoyed working as a substitute rural nail carrier for 52 years.
Jack will be long remembered as a quiet, gentle. loving and friendly man. he always enjoyed visiting with people and found much pleasure in gardening. He was always eager to be with his family and enjoyed their presence, he was a member of the United Brethren Church, Cawker City Masonic Ledge for 30 years. and the Woodman of America for 60 years.
Jack will be greatly missed by his wife Eliza Ann (Lydia) Wright of the home; one son. Charles Wright and wife Jackie of Lenora. Ks.; two brothers, Edwin Wrlght and wife Juanita of Cawker City. Raymond L. Wright of Fort Payne, Ala.. in addition, he will be missed by two sisters, Lois More and husband Lyle of Pretty Prairie, Ks... Eloise Hollandswortb of Temple, Tex..; a sister-in-law, Geneva Wright of Troy, Ks.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister. Audrey Limbocker; three brothers, Garold, George and Richard Wright; and one son. Darrell Lee Wright.
Interment was In Prairie Grove Cemetery Cawker City.
