Chester Warfel weds English girl
White gladiolus and stock decorated All Saints Episcopal church yesterd
ay mornong for the marriage of Miss Elizabeth Stuart Millar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Millar of Bushey, Hertfordshire, England to Chester Richard Warfel. son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester M. Warfel of South Pasadena. The Rev. Robert E. Henry performed the ceremony at 11 o'clock.
The bride, whose parents were here for her marriage, wore a gown of handkerchief linen trimmed in lace, made with dropped waistline, pinafore-effect bodice and chapel train. She carried a colonial nosegay of stephanschs, white roses and Queen Ann Lace in an antique Victorian silver holder.
Miss Janet L. Warfel, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. She wore a frock of white organdy with a border of pink flowers over pink taffeia petticoat and carried a colonial nosegay of pink carnations and roses. Miss Lorraine P. Gilmore of Regina, Saskaichewan, Canada, in aqua, was bridesmaid and Delight Thomas in white organdy, flower girl.
Robert J. Meyer of San Mateo served as best man. Ushers were John K. Lawrence of Pasadena and Richard Caerbert of Inglewood.
The bride is a graduate of Sarh Dix Hamlin, S.F. and Professional Children's School, New York City. Mr. Warfel is an alumnus of the University of Kansas City and Claremont Graduate school where he was affiliated with "Bounders." They will reside in South Pasadena.
