  The Oregonian November 25, 1990 Harrold Eugene Stearns of Sherwood died of causes related to age Thursday in a Tillamook hospital. He was 86. He was born March 5, 1904, in Elk Grove, Calif., but had lived in the Sherwood area since he was a child. He married Alice Nielson on Nov. 6, 1928. Mr. Stearns owned and operated Stearns Sand & Gravel Co. and later ran his own school bus transportation company in Sherwood for a number of years. His wife died in 1983. Mr. Stearns is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Stellflug and Sharon L. Reeder of Tillamook; sons, Robert and David, both of Sherwood; 15 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
