  The Oregonian August 28, 1991 Rena H. Stearns, a Southwest Portland resident, died of causes related to age Monday in a Portland care center. At her family's request, no service will be held. Mrs. Stearns was 86. She was born Nov. 21, 1904, in Helena, Mont. She moved to the Portland area during the mid-1940s, and later lived in Salem for a number of years before returning to Portland in the late 1970s. Mrs. Stearns was a homemaker. Her husband, Lloyd Stearns, died in 1972. She is survived by her daughters, Velma Wheeler of Tigard, Viola Johnson of Blachly and Mary Barker of Aumsville; son, Howard of Portland; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
