  Ashtabula (OH) Star Beacon: ASHTABULA - - Ruth L. Patterson, age 94, formerly of Walnut Blvd., Ashtabula, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at the Lake Vista Retirement Center in Cortland, Ohio. Born Oct. 2, 1912 in Bulah, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harry N. and Eva B. (Fickinger) Farr and graduated from Kingsville High School and Kent State University. She was employed for many years in elementary education in Lake and Ashtabula Counties. She was a member of the North Kingsville Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing the piano and reading. Surviving her is a son, Kevin (Carol) Patterson of Cortland, Ohio; two granddaughters, Lisa Lambert of Cortland and Shelly Patterson of Mooresville, N.C.; a great-grandson, Dominic Adams; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh Patterson in 2001; three sisters, Bernice Johnson, Hazel Gary and Allene Shriver; and a brother, Walter Farr.
