  The Salina Journal (KS) January 30, 2013 Julia M. McLane passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born Jan. 16, 1919, at her family's farm in Elmo, the daughter of James and Margaret (Fleming) Feeney. Julia was a mother, homemaker, a food service worker at the Salina High School and St. John's Hospital cafeterias, and a sales clerk at G&E Western Store. Her husband, Lyle, was a longtime employee of Holsum Bakery. She greatly enjoyed flower gardening and, in her last years, she delighted in spending time with her great-granddaughter, Harper Julia Lathan. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle McLane; her brother, Michael Feeney; and her sister, Mary Commerford. Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Randy, deceased) Lathan, of Salina; her son, David (Jackie) McLane, of Pittsburg; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
