Born in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., on Aug. 14, 1923, she came to Winter Haven from Milwaukee in 1986. She was a retired hospital dietician. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven, where she was a member of the Stitchery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. May. She is survived by her daughter, Joan M. Atkinson, Racine, Wis.; son, William J. May, Hartford, Wis.; sisters, Bernice Whipple, Vivian Wagner, both of Sturgeon Bay; brothers, Roger Haskell, James Haskell, both of Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
