  The Oil City Derrick June 28, 1961 Brookville - Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Reitz Funeral Home here for Merle B. Haskell, 44, of Brookville RD 1, who died unexpectedly at 1:30 p.m. Saturday of a heart attack in his home. Mr. Haskell was a son of A. Merle and Maryan Ballentine Haskell of Wood St., Clarion. He married Elizabeth Pence of New Bethlehem in 1951. He was a member of the Brookville Fireman, Elks and Eagles. He was a graduate of Clarion High School and Clarion State Colledge. He was owner of the Studebaker Garage and Haskell's Trailer Sales at Brookville, RD 1. His father A. Merle Haskell, a brother of his father, Harry V. Haskell and his brother John P. Haskell, operate Haskell Furniture Store in Clinton. He is survived by his widow, his parents, two sons, Thomas and Charles R., both of Brookville., his brother John P., Clarion and a sister, Mrs. Carol Haskell Kribbs, of Lewisburg.
