  The Detroit News (MI) January 28, 2005 Burder Mary Louise (PURKISS Strine) of West Bloomfield, died quietly at home, January 25, 2005, born May 29, 1928. Survived by her husband F.H. Burder; seven children and three step-children; Linda Darling, Cindy Richards, Steven Strine, Ronee Crocker, Janis Strine, Mary Hampshire, Gerald Strine, Linda Anderson, Frank Burder III and Thomas Burder; her family included 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grand-children. Mary graduated from Pontiac Central in 1946 and later from Pontiac Business Institute. She was employed by Oakland intermediate Schools and retired from there in 1985. She spent her life in Pontiac until 1974 when she and Frank Burder married and moved to West Bloomfield. Mary was a wonderful woman, whose great love and concern for her husband, family and friends was only equaled by their love for her. Her family was her only hobby and her passing leaves an enormous gap in that family. She will be remembered and missed forever. We loved her so.
