  Siskiyou Daily News January 12, 2006 Callahan resident, Betty Jane Hascall, 81, passed away Jan. 8, 2006, at Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka. Betty was born in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., on July 24, 1924, to Eli and Hazel Smith. She was married to Donald C. Hascall on Sept. 12, 1942. Betty moved to Siskiyou County from Redding in 1985. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lenore and Donald E. McCreight, of Hayward; son and daughter-in-law, Donald C. II and Bobbi Hascall, of Redding; grandchildren, Donald C. Hascall III, of Klamath Falls, Ore. and William D. Hascall, of Citrus Heights; and two great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Hascall on Dec. 26, 1998.
