Gerald E. Hascall, 81, of Vassar, died Friday afternoon, April 2, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare, Harrison Campus, in Saginaw. He was born April 14, 1939 in Vassar, son of the late Cecil "Clare" and Marian (Vieu) Hascall and was a graduate of Vassar High School.
On November 4, 1989 he married Lori Kabat at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar. She survives him.
Jerry was employed in Shipping and Receiving at Super Foods in Bridgeport for thirty years, retiring October 31, 2000. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar and enjoyed fishing, especially smoking the fish he caught, hunting, camping, bowling, traveling, and window shopping.
Surviving besides his wife, are his three sons, Robert (Donna) Hascall of Mayville; Lawrence Hascall of Vassar; Anthony Hascall of Millington; and Jodie Hascall of Kawkawlin, whom he raised. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Tristin Wilkinson, Elijah Hascall, Alexander Hascall, Jason Hascall, Randall Hascall, Anna Hascall, Heather Hascall, Amanda Hascall, Sarah Hascall, twelve great-grandchildren, and his brother, Jack (Llynda) Hascall of Missouri. In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his son Terry Hascall, and by three brothers, James, Joseph, and Robert Hascall.
