Webb, John B. Bay City, Michigan Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region, age 72.
He was born January 30, 1942 in Virginia to the late John Alvin and Phyllis Alvira (Hutchings) Webb. John married Beverly Ann Bolander on May 11, 1988 at Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church and she survives him.
He was a veteran and served his country with the US Army as a Traffic Analyst during Vietnam. John was a proud Michigan State Spartan and received his BA in business administration and was in the marching band as well. He later attended Lansing Community College and received his degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Hospitality Management. John retired from Michigan Bell as an outside plant engineer after 23 years of dedicated service and was a member of Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church. John enjoyed fishing, singing, playing his euphonium and spending time with his friends. He was a gifted musician and was member of the Bay Concert Band, Bay Chorale, Michigan State University Alumni Band and the American Red Cross.
Surviving is his wife, Beverly, stepchildren: James Richard (Pamela) Bauer, Lori Lee Bauer, and Kristin Kay Bauer, cousin, Jean Ann (Richard) Hembrough, six grandchildren: Alexander, Katherine, Sarah, Audrey, Jillian and Claire, three brother in-laws: Michael (Patricia), Paul A. (Patricia) and David (Sandra) Bolander, one sister in-law, Kay Bolander and his pets, Snow Biscuit and Cocoa Sioux.
John was predeceased by a brother in-law, Edward Bolander and pets, Taki Dakota and Akasha Sioux.
