  Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer (KY) April 2, 1999 Claude C. Gross, 86, of Fordsville died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at Professional Care Home in Hartford. He was born in Tucumcari, N.M., was a farmer and retired from Audubon Community Services. He served as Fordsville city judge in the mid-1960s, was of the Methodist denomination and was a Kentucky Colonel. A son Martin Gross died May 19, 1982. Survivors include his wife, Lottie L. Gross; a son, Jimmy C. Gross of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Leota Hedden of Fordsville; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
