  Rutland Herald (VT) September 15, 2002 MENDON - Patricia Ellen Parent, 66, died Sept 14, 2002, at Rutland Regional Medical Center following a five-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born July 17, 1936, the daughter of Albert and Helen (Hughes) Steven She married Philip Parent on May 16, 1953. Mrs. Parent and her husband managed the Parent Apartments for many years. She was a master gardener, and enjoyed quilting, landscape painting and collecting teddy bears. Survivors include her husband of Mendon; two daughters, Kim Socia of Wallingford and Jennifer Parent of Rutland; a son, Jonny Parent of Rutland; a sister, Gladys Chapman of Rutland; two brothers, Victor Dziuba and Albert Dziuba of Rutland; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Parent; a daughter, Faith Parent; and a brother, Albert Stevens.
