  Columbus Telegram August 22, 2001 WHITTIER, Calif. -- Harold Hugh McCall, 81, of Snowflake, Ariz., died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, in Snowflake. Mr. McCall was born on Aug. 13, 1920, in Ong. He spent his early life in David City and moved to California after graduation from high school. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in February 1942 and graduated from Quartermasters School in Camp Lee, Va., served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and the Army of Occupation in Japan. He was honorably discharged in January 1946. He graduated from Woodbury College in Los Angeles in 1953 with an accounting and business major degree and joined Getty Oil Co. He became property tax manager for the firm in 1970 and retired in 1985. He married Phyllis Jacobs in 1946. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sheryl Lynn (David) Mallett of San Mateo, Calif., Linde Lou (Richard) Carter of Holbrook, Ariz., and Leslie Kay McCall of South Pasadena, Calif.; one son, Kevin Bruce McCall of Ontario, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his mother, Viva McCall of David City.
