BELLWOOD -- Darald D. Napier, 86, of Bellwood, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at the Butler County Healthcare Center in David City.
Darald Napier was born February 23, 1927, in Bellwood, to Herbie and Iola (Gans) Napier. He was a life-long resident of Bellwood. He worked many years for Behlen Manufacturing and was a member of the Bellwood Fire Department, night police officer in Bellwood and coached Bellwood Legion Baseball for several years. He enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting. Darald also enjoyed playing cards and watching, as well as listening to his grandson and great-grandsons adventures in sports and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Napier, of Bellwood; son, Lowell (Joyce) Napier, of Bellwood; grandson, Lance (Cindy) Napier, of David City; granddaughter, Nicole Rohloff, of Bellwood; great-grandsons, Mitchel, Lane and Kyle Napier, of David City and Joseph Rohloff, of Bellwood; sister, Peg (Harry) Wilson, of Bellwood; sister-in-law, Darla Bishop, of Grand Island; niece, Jolene (Kurt) Karjalainen, of Kearney; and nephews, Brian and Travis Wilson, of Bellwood and Chris Wilson, of Omaha.
Darald was preceded in death by his father and mother, step-father Wilbur "Dude" Napier, son Ricky Napier, a brother, Wilbur "Bill" Napier, a sister, Sharon Napier and brothers-in-law Ron Bishop and Lowell Hunsche.
