He was born in Orford, N.H., and was an engineer at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford, before his retirement. He was a Mason, and a member of Wyllys Lodge, the Hartford Engineers Club, Farmington Grange No. 49, Farmington Valley Grange No. 11, and Elmwood Community Church for 45 years. He leaves a son, Gordon H. Jackson of West Hartford; a daughter, Joyce Bunce of Newington; three brothers, Ralph, Stuart, and William; five sisters, Ruth, Doris, Amy, Irene, and Lena; six grandchildren, and eight great- grandchildren.
