A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1996, in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Scappoose for LeRoy H. Spencer, a 30-year employee of the U.S. Postal Service who died Oct. 19 at age 73. Mr. Spencer was born July 25, 1923, in Portland. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in Los Alamos, N.M.
He was past president of the Portland Association of Formerly Married Catholics and the Tualatin chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 1798.
Surviving are his wife, Mary L.; son, Jerry C. of Fullerton, Calif.; daughter, Ramona M. Lordos of Scappoose; stepsons, Mike and Tim Janes, both of Portland; stepdaughters, Linda Larson and Jodie Combine, both of Beaverton, and Julie Manion of Bend; brothers, John of Oregon City and William of Clackamas; and 13 grandchildren.
Mausoleum entombment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
