Dorothy M. Macauley, 83, a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington, died of pneumonia March 27 at Georgetown University Hospital. She had lived in the District off and on since the early 1940s.
Mrs. Macauley was born in London to American parents. After her marriage to Edward Macauley III, she accompanied him on U.S. Foreign Service assignments in Paris and London. He died in 1971.
Survivors include two children, Cathleen Macauley of North Hollywood, Calif., and Edward Macauley IV of Seal Cove, Maine.
