Hascall, Selma Ruth – age 79, of West Knoxville, passed away Friday, May 16, 1997, at the Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee. She was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church. Retired from the University of Tennessee as administrative assistant to the Dean of Agricultural Research after 43 years, having received the E. J. Chapman Award for outstanding service 1n 1974.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Alan Hascall; parents Roff and Laura Ruth, sisters, Effie Acuff, Mary Acuff, Willie Harrell, and brother, Denver Ruth. Survived by sister Janie Nicely of Washburn; sisters and brother-in-law, Delta and Louis Lightner of Sevierville and Myrtle and Arthur Smith of Knoxville.; and several nieces and nephews.
